Sketchbooks and artist journals drive my multi-disciplinary practice. I work with textiles, collage, writing, drawing, painting, installation and artist's books. Projects mainly spring out of literature, books, poems, words. And my 'overheards', of everyday conversations.
'At Home on the Tube'
A two year drawing, writing and collage project, based around the seated passenger on the Tube. I used conceptual blending, to blur public place and private space. Tube seats turn into comfy armchairs. Tube handrails become floor lamps. With a narrative that suggests that we are at home on the Tube, my resent practice developed into notions of home as an entity that we carry within us.
